Situated in Chavasse Park at the heart of Liverpool ONE stands a commemorative memorial to Noel Godfrey Chavasse. It pays tribute to a compassionate man who spent much time helping disadvantaged Liverpool boys and devoting his efforts in to improving the lives of his soldiers in appalling conditions. He is one of only three people to have been twice awarded the Victoria Cross and the only one to have received these awards in the Great War (WWI).
The commemorative memorial serves as a lasting celebration of Noel’s life, rising as it does from the park after whom it is named, with this supporting website serving as a place to learn more about the man and his family.
